About Pete
Pete was born in Alaska where he spent the first half of his childhood before moving to Michigan. He met Jess while studying at Hope College where he earned a degree in religion. He also studied linguistics at Dallas International University.
Pete has a heart for the mission of God throughout the world. He and Jess served in Papua New Guinea with Wycliffe Bible Translators before returning to Michigan. Pete has worked for various schools with a focus on assistive technology and accessibility and has served as an elder in Living Light Cadillac since 2020. He has also been involved in the Traverse City work since 2022.
Pete and Jess were married in 2004 and have five children: Nadia, Eleri, Sybren, Jadon, and Levi.
